Through her interdisciplinary studies of feminist theories, experimental theater-making, & movement-based healing practices, she strives towards dismantling fear-based thinking to help self-actualize our individual passions. 

Some of Synead’s other projects include Mercy Mistress executive produced by Margaret Cho, Gethsemane Herron-Coward’s Blanks produced by The Signature Theater, her solo music career as recognized and uplifted by MTV, Okay Player, Quiet Lunch, and more.

In the last years, Synead has collaborated and performed with various artists at renowned spaces such as Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, City Winery, Ronnie Scott’s, & Brooklyn, Bowl, just to name a few.

She has modeled for Vogue Italia & Telfar, made her Off-Broadway debut in the New York Times Critic’s Pick and Drama Desk nominated Jazz Opera, The Hang, the HBO-series Random Acts of Flyness, as well as received various nominations for her role as Zuzu in the award-winning independent film, Poets Are The Destroyers.

She was most recently awarded the 2024 New York City Trust Van Lier Fellowship and was an apprentice of Urban Bush Women. In the the last years, she has performed in “Ten Transcendental Etudes” (Nick Brooke/MASS MoCa), "Priestess of Twerk” (Nia O. Witherspoon/HERE Arts), "Second Skin: Monster" (Magnus Works/Judson Memorial Church), and more.

Synead’s artistry is not bound by medium, but bound to the varied expressions of living a full and ever-present life- one that will be remembered beyond the here and now.

She is currently in the process of generating a new series of performance works and making new music with her Alternative Rock band, Mother Maven.

You’ll most likely find her at the beach, on a dance floor, or in some other city exploring what it has to offer… or at home dancing with her two black cats- Rocksie & Rinzeaux.
